Industrial port zone

INDUSTRIAL-PORT ZONE (IPZ)

The Port of Saguenay was identified in June 2016 by the Government of Quebec as one of the sixteen IPZs in the province. Its various infrastructures, such as its railway service, its Maritime Industrial Intermodal Park (MIIP), its maritime terminal, and its industrial zoned land, are all assets that can support the activities of major industries where transportation issues are important concerns

This proximity to port facilities represents a significant comparative advantage for businesses, particularly those in the processing sector, since it provides easy access to raw material and adequate distribution of goods produced to North American and international markets.
